Week 2 | Tuesday | After the Meeting

[ Although Towa had sent out a message to have everyone come for a quick impromptu meeting after the ... announcement, Mithos couldn't bring himself to go. The hug from Towa helped settle the major... fears that he had. Though all it just turned into straight up denial.

But there's still so much that's wrong and so Mithos finds that staying in his room, albeit a room he still doesn't feel safe in, was the best idea. He'll just ... sit on his bed, think, and cry for a bit. Once all these emotions are out he can put on the same face he has been and go back out again.

It's ... a good thing it's something he's nearly been doing all his life. The problem is Martel's always helped him bring it back and yet ...

Ah ... the tears. Here they are again. Why can't they just go away. ]

[Towa has to stay until the meeting is over-- it's only proper, since she's the one that organized it. Besides, a lot of important information came up today as well. But that doesn't mean that she hasn't given thought to those who she noticed were missing... especially Mithos, who looked so vulnerable after that announcement.

So as soon as it's over, she gathers the new notes she's taken and puts them away in her notebook before making her way back to the train. If Mithos wanted to be alone then the place he'd most likely be was his room.

With a gentle knock she calls out to him.]

Hey, Mithos? Are you here?

[ Mithos' head shoots up when he hears the knock on the door, followed by Towa's voice. Part of it wonder if he should ... stay quiet. But at the same time he's alone. He doesn't want to be alone. Not anymore.

So after an attempt to wipe his face with the blanket on his bed he calls out. ]

Y-Yeah. Come in ... it's unlocked.

[overworker]

[When he confirms it's okay, Towa lets herself in. She still has her notes from the meeting, along with a small collection of items she hasn't dropped off in her own room yet from baggage claim.]

When you didn't come to the meeting, I just wanted to make sure you were doing okay.

[ Mithos finds himself looking at the floor when she speaks. ]

I'm sorry ... I didn't think I was fit enough to go ...

[ Might as well ... be honest about it. He looks up and notices the handful of things she's carrying. ]

Ah ... I didn't know you were carrying so many items. I would've opened the door for you ... Please, go ahead and set them down somewhere.

[ That say she's not carrying all of it. Also because ... something looks familiar in that pile but he ... can't tell what it is... ]

[overworker]

Sorry, I really should have thought to stop by my room and put them away first. But I figured I should stop by before it got too late.

[She does her best to sit them down neatly, but there are some that aren't as cooperative as her notebooks and papers are. One of those things includes something that should seem very familiar to him.]

[ Mithos was going to respond to that. But instead right as he sees the familiar item his eyes widen. He can feel the tears threatening to come again but this time he doesn't even try to stop them at first. ]

T-That's ...

[ Now he tries to blink the tears away before he speaks again. ]

C-Could I ... see that Panflute? Please?

[overworker]

[Towa blinked. Had she said something to upset him? But then she realizes what he’s looking at. She had wondered if it may belong to someone else.]

Of course you can.

[She picks up the instrument with care and passes it to Mithos.]

[ Mithos takes the panflute and holds it in his hands. The ... the panflute looks a lot older than he remembers it, but there's no mistaking the wood or the design. ]

This ... this is Martel's panflute.

[ He clenches it tightly. For someone to receive something of her's right after what just happened this morning ... it hurts. ]

[overworker]

...you know. When I was given a reward the other day after we battled that thing, one of the items they had in there wasn't mine either.

[She's been wearing it around her shoulders, since it's a bit big for her to wear normally.]

This jacket actually belongs to someone else from my school-- wrong color and everything. I'm pretty sure it's Rean's... but she gave it to me anyway.

I like to think that it's meant to be a comfort... since we're so far from the people we care about right now.

Really?

[ Mithos looks at the panflute again. It ... does hurt but at the same time it ... does kinda gives him a sort of comfort too. That now he at least has some part of her with him. ]

I think ... you might be right. I wonder if playing it will give me comfort. [ After all it's an instrument. It's meant to be played ]

... I don't think you mentioned Rean before. Another friend, right?

[overworker]

Oh! I'd love to hear that sometime.

[Ah-- but right. Rean. Rean-bean. That Boy.]

Mm-hm.

[She knows it's a double-edged sword. She feels the same way after all. But when everything around you is trying to hurt you-- you have to find that happiness to hold on to.]

oh, I guess I didn't. Well... Rean helps out the Student Council in his free time, so he's done a lot for me. I mentioned Class VII, right? Well, he's an important member of that class.

Just let me know and I can play you something.

[ He doesn't mind at all. ]

Student Council? I take it that is something that you are a part of?

[overworker]

That's right. I'm the Student Council President, which kind of makes me it's leader. Think of it as a government or ruling class run by students set in place to help run certain aspects of the school that affect the rest of the students.

That's ... really impressive. What sort of aspects does the Council help with?

[overworker]

Well... we help put together the student notebooks, organize school events, and generally answer whatever requests are left for us. It could be anything from a lost item report to helping a tutor find a replacement for a lesson they're supposed to give when they have an emergency.

[eternaldivide]

[ Mithos hums lightly at that. Seems this conversation is serving as a good temporary distraction. ]

You're really good at coordinating and organization from what I've seen. I can see why you're the President.

[overworker]

Thank you, that's really sweet. But honestly, what I do wouldn't mean much if it weren't for everyone who works hard to support me. The same goes for our meetings here.

Still, I'm really glad that I've been able to take my experience from Thors and use it to help everyone here.

I'm sure everyone appreciates it, too. I doubt there's anyone else here that's taking as many notes as you are.
